About Us
Celebrating over 50 years of serving our community. Family owned since 1973.
Norfolk Transmission & Muffler welcomes you to our Norfolk automatic transmission repair shop website. Each transmission technician at our automatic transmission repair shop in Norfolk is highly qualified and ready to deliver their expert automotive transmission repair technician knowledge & skills for your every automatic transmission repair need.
In 1973 Norfolk Transmission was started by Kim Lingenfelter and has grown significantly since then. We grew into our 25,000 square foot facility in 1983. We have dynamometer pretested transmissions since 1979. In 1986 Norfolk Transmission purchased a front wheel drive dynamometer to keep up with the ever changing vehicles on the road. In 1990 we saw the need for a quality remanufactured torque converter to go with our demand for a quality product and we purchased the equipment to remanufacture our torque converters. The business continues to be family owned today. Deb Lingenfelter is the President and Ron Lingenfelter is the general manager.
